HEY LADY! YER ALL WET! HA HA
For those of you who don’t/didn’t watch the news…you may have missed this:
This chick who no one knew, who isn’t identifiable from the clip; was traipsing through the mall with her parcels thumbunicating with one of her friends and didn’t notice the giant fountain in the middle of the beautiful and stately: Berkshire Mall, located at:
If you’re in the neighborhood…go there and buy some items for your friends or family, but whatever you do- if you’re in Massachusetts go to the Berkshire Mall and get your picture next to the fountain!
This woman: Cathy Cruz Marrero is preparing to sue the mall because of the security guards were too busy laughing and uploading the clip to youtube to help her. She alleges that security didn’t come to find her until 20 minutes after she left the mall. Forget the embarrassment of falling into a fountain…how did she know security came to her aid 20 minutes AFTER she left the mall? She was GONE.
I don’t think there are too many things funnier than watching people fall down, trip or otherwise lose scraps with gravity. Here is the story as Huffington Post reported it: Cathy Cruz Marrero gained fame almost overnight, but not exactly how she wanted to.
Better known as “Fountain Girl” by the likes of Perez Hilton, the mall security video of Marrero tripping on a fountain and falling in while texting has already attracted almost 1.7 million views on YouTube.
But Marrero’s not laughing. In fact, she may be suing.
“Instead of laughing, they should have said, ‘Is she OK?’ and been down there right away to check on me,” she told Reading Eagle in her first interview since the video went viral. Marrero says security didn’t respond until 20 minutes later, at which point she had already left the mall.
From Reading Eagle:
Her attorney, James M. Polyak of Reading, said he plans to conduct an investigation into what happened.
“We are troubled by the fact that anyone at the Berkshire Mall responsible for releasing this video would find humor in an employee injured on the premises,” Polyak said. “We intend to hold the appropriate persons responsible.
“No one from that security office came to her aid in a timely manner.”
Watch the video, watch where you’re going, text safely and thanks for reading.
