For those of my readers who are unaware; my sister is married. My sister’s husband has a sister; my sister-in-law. This sister-in-law is a fellow Pirate and makes pottery in the Greenville, NC area.
I hadn’t spoken to my sister-in-law in a very long time until this morning, when she commented on my sister’s Facebook page about post I had made, offering a retort to some blaggard who posted drivel on her page. My sister is too nice to write mean things on the internet to people who deserve. I, however, don’t possess this restraint. Those of you who might be aware; I try to observe good internet etiquette and refrain from using vulgar language, because it diminishes ones internet credibility.
But, I wanted to get to the pots and other kiln-fired cook/eat -ware.
Margaret is quite a talented potter, making all sorts of creative and practical pieces of stoneware. She makes casarole dishes, plates, bowls, saucers, cups…I’m surfing between her site and this post while I’m writing…It would appear that if it can be made out of clay or clay-like substances, it would seem she can make it. I found full sets of dinnerware on her site that were pretty impressive. I’m not sure exactly how to go about purchasing her work, but her website is well laid-out and if you seem something you like, drop her a line.
Feel free to check out her site: The Brown Pottery
